Trader Joe Crumpets

I toasted up some Trader Joe’s crumpets this morning in an effort to be fancy. As you can see it looked a little sad to know I was going to eat it up. The crumpets were pretty tasty with the addition of butter and jam. I’m not sure if the toaster brings them back to best state of fresh cooked though. If anyone has any advice about toasting crumpets that would be great.

I’ve seen a couple of these now searching around for art inspired by toast or toast inspired by art. There’s something very pleasing about the whole thing. It’s sort of like the plastic sushi you find at a Japaneses restaurant, only much better.
